Set your Facebook account to private
Separate your private and professional lives
Our private and professional lives inevitably converge online.
So you need to be extremely careful at all times about what you choose to share with others on Facebook and use all the tools available to protect the information you want to keep private.

Social Check Recommends:
1. Activate your privacy settings
Be aware of how much personal information you post publicly. The more personal information that you post publicly, the greater the risk someone may steal your identity. Use the ‘Privacy Settings and Tools’ section in Facebook to safeguard your personal information. Ensure that only ‘Friends’ can see your future posts. If you are unsure of the privacy settings of your previous posts be sure to ‘Limit Past Posts’.
2. Select a strong password
Don’t use the same password for your Facebook account and all other social media platforms. If one is compromised, all of the others will also be at risk.
